Ipswich’s 1st choice LB registered 2 goals and 18 assists last season and provides majority of the team’s creative impetus down the left flank.
Gets forward in open play, often playing like a LW, and takes all corners and free kicks.
Unlike the other defensive options, doesn’t have a capable backup who’ll rotate with him, so Davis should play pretty much every game this season barring injury.
Ben Johnson (£4m) / Harry Clarke (£4m)
Johnson came on a free transfer from West Ham and is the higher of the two in the RB pecking order.
He’s not recommended as a Fantasy asset because of the limited goal scoring threat, staying back on set pieces and lack of crossing from open play.
Harry Clarke will also compete with Johnson when the former returns from injury (i.e. probably by the first international break).
Johnson also faces the risk of rotation with Axel Tuanzebe, who is also capable of playing RB.
Jacob Greaves (£4m) / Cameron Burgess (£4m)
Greaves will likely start the campaign as 1st choice LCB.
Decent in possession and could chip in with the odd goal or assist.
Burgess is his backup.
Axel Tuanzebe (£4m) / Luke Woolfenden (£4m)
Either Tuanzebe or Woolfenden could start at RCB, meaning there’s risk of rotation at this position.
