Southampton’s current 1st choice will be on penalties and could grab 5-7 goals this season.
He started 47 times in the Championship last season, although that was almost exclusively from RW, so there’s a chance that Stewart could play as the main forward.
Ross Stewart (£4.5m)
Stewart is a big physical presence who is much more suited to the demands of Premier League football than Armstrong, who has previously struggled to impress at this level.
If he’s fit, he should start at central striker, making him the better of the two assets due to playing in a more advanced position where he can score more points than Armstrong.
