Bukayo Saka (£10m)

  • 1st choice RW and penalty taker who should rack up 34-38 starts this season.
  • The new change to BPS which rewards fouls drawn should see him pick up more bonus points.
  • Should play 90 minutes most matches but expect to see him subbed around 75 minutes if he’s carrying an injury niggle.
  • Not an explosive goal scorer (i.e. someone who regularly scores more than a goal in a game), but expect to see him pick up plenty of assists through his elite chance creation.

Martin Ødegaard (£8.5m)

  • Arsenal’s captain and 1st choice RCM. Deputises for Saka when it comes to penalties, and is likely to start every game this season.
  • Grabs the occasional goal from the edge of the 18-yard box but mainly sets up his team mates positioned further up the field.

Leandro Trossard (£7m)

  • Arsenal’s 1st choice LW finished last season in excellent scoring form.
  • His intelligent movement and composure in front of goal makes him a great Fantasy asset, particularly if he can continue to nail down his starting place.
  • Often gets substituted around the 65-minute mark, so bear in mind he’s unlikely to complete games.

Gabriel Martinelli (£7m)

  • Lost his starting spot at LW to Trossard last season.
  • Should get plenty of minutes off the bench, as he’s primed to drive at tired defences.

Declan Rice (£6.5m)

  • Likely to play every game, Rice can slot in at DM and LCM.
  • Won’t get on the scoresheet often as he’s a destroyer type of midfielder tasked with making blocks, tackles and interceptions, as well as recycling possession.
  • Takes corners from the left-hand side, so should get the occasional assist considering Arsenal’s set piece threat.

Thomas Partey (£5m)

  • Arsenal’s 1st choice DM has had a sketchy injury record during his time at the club, but he should start the majority of Premier League games in this position.
  • Brings unrivalled defensive stability to the side, coupled with elite line-breaking passing ability which makes him an important part of Arsenal’s midfield setup.
  • Unfortunately, he’s not a great FPL asset due to his inability to get on the scoresheet regularly.

Bench options:

  • Fabio Vieira (£5.5m)
  • Jorginho (£5m)
  • Reiss Nelson (£5m)
