Antoine Semenyo (£5.5m)

  • Bournemouth’s 1st choice RW is one to have on your radar. He’s got blistering pace and power which makes him a dangerous threat for any defence.
  • At £5.5m he’s a prime candidate for that mid-range midfielder spot in your team, considering the fact that he managed 8 goals and 4 assists from 25 appearances last season.
  • I’d expect him to improve on that tally and get double figures for goals this year. Great pick.

Justin Kluivert (£5.5m)

  • Can play either as a LW or CAM and I’d expect him to occupy either of those positions as he rotates with Marcus Tavernier in attacking midfield.
  • He netted 7 goals last season and could be a decent shout for a budget midfielder, but there’s the threat of rotation with Sinisterra which would make me steer clear.

Marcus Tavernier (£5.5m)

  • Another player you’d expect to get 25-30 games this season.
  • His goal contributions aren’t as good as Semenyo or Kluivert, as he’s more of an assist provider with good set piece delivery.

Tyler Adams (£5m)

  • Adams was supposed to slot into Bournemouth’s midfield but injuries have prevented him from doing so.
  • At £5m he isn’t a player worth selecting due to his non-existent attacking threat, but if he picks up fitness and match sharpness, I’d be looking at picking up a Bournemouth defender.
  • He excels at the defensive side of the game, and used to be in the top 3 midfielders for major defensive counting stats such as tackles, tackles won, 1v1 tackles, interceptions, and blocks.

Lewis Cook (£5m)

  • Will start most games, especially due to the injury absence of Tyler Adams.
  • Shouldn’t really be on your radar for FPL as he doesn’t contribute much at the top end of the field.

Ryan Christie (£5m)

  • Similar to Lewis Cook when it comes to expected game time (started 35 games last season), but with better assist potential due to the fact that he’s on some set piece duties.

Luis Sinisterra (£5m)

  • One to watch as he can play on either wing.
  • 2 goals and 2 assists from 5 appearances last season tells us that he’s a very capable player who could manage to displace one of Kluivert or Tavernier in the midfield spots.
  • Hold off on buying for now, but if he manages to secure down a place, he would be a good shout for a budget midfielder.

Bench options:

  • Jaidon Anthony (£4.5m)
