Brentford’s 1st choice RW missed a large part of last season because of injury.
Will play on the LW in a 4-back formation and occasionally up front as an out-of-position (OOP) striker in a 3-back setup as Brentford usually favour a 3-5-2 formation.
Should be a fantastic pick at £7m due to being on set pieces and penalty duty (should Ivan Toney be sold).
Scores an extra point for a goal as a midfielder, and also gets clean sheet points, making him a great mid-price option in midfield.
Kevin Schade (£5.5m)
Last season, Schade started at LW straight from GW1 and got on the scoresheet.
Unfortunately, he picked up a serious injury in GW4 and wasn’t able to return to action until April.
Should manage to play a lot of games on the left-hand side, occasionally rotating with Yoane Wissa who is also competent in this position.
Mathias Jensen (£5.5m) / Vitaly Janelt (£5m)
Both players will start the vast majority of games in Brentford’s midfield.
Playing as number 8’s, they’ll occasionally get forward and make late runs into the penalty area, but there’s definitely better value elsewhere as they’re not prolific players by any means.
Christian Nørgaard (£5m)
Brentford’s defensive midfield lynchpin plays a critical role as the holding number 6 for the team.
They’re more difficult to break down defensively when he plays, so keep an eye on Brentford’s defensive assets when he starts.
Not much of a goal or assist threat, so one to avoid.
