Gibbs-White is the 1st choice CAM and will be tasked with providing the creative spark for this Forest team.
He’s on set pieces and penalties, so expect him to perform decently.
However, Nuno’s sides aren’t necessarily known for their attacking prowess, so his attacking threat may not be as good as some of the other £6.5m options, especially when it comes to goal scoring.
Anthony Elanga (£5.5m) / Callum Hudson-Odoi (£5.5m)
If Forest maintain the 3-4-2-1 shape that they’ve predominantly lined up in during pre-season, I expect there’ll be rotation here as there’s only one attacking spot up for grabs due Gibbs-White having already secured the other position.
Hudson-Odoi finished the season strongly and is the sharper of the two in front of goal, although Elanga offers more industry and work rate which Nuno may appreciate.
I’d avoid the pair of them for now, because of the uncertainty surrounding their minutes and Forest’s modest attacking threat as a team.
Nicolás Domínguez (£5m) / Elliot Anderson (£5m) / Ryan Yates (£5m) / Danilo (£5m) / Ibrahim Sangaré (£4.5m)
Expect various possible player combinations in central midfield, based on the pre-season data.
The starting pair is really hard to distinguish, and therefore all options here should be avoided, even as bench enablers because of the uncertainty of minutes.
