Bowen is 1st choice RW and may play some games as the central striker.
It’s worth noting that Bowen is noticeably better playing from the right with a physical forward like Antonio in front of him, as Antonio is able to pull defenders towards him, creating space for Bowen to exploit.
When Bowen is the attacking fulcrum up front, he doesn’t perform as well because his hold up play isn’t as good as Antonio.
Lopetegui has a bit of a reputation for creating sterile possession systems, so Bowen may not get as many goal scoring opportunities.
For what it’s worth, he’s still a decent option at £7.5m and I’d expect at least 10 goals from him this season.
James Ward-Prowse (£6.5m) / Lucas Paqueta (£6m)
These players will be tasked with providing creativity from set pieces and open play.
Ward-Prowse is the 1st choice penalty taker, and takes corners from the left of the pitch, so should register more than a handful of goals and assists.
Paqueta is a great player as well, but there will be concerns over his future due to a betting scandal which may see him suspended from professional football.
I wouldn’t invest in either of these players to start.
Mohammed Kudus (£6.5m)
Kudus can play in any attacking midfield position, be it RW, LW, or CAM.
Under Moyes he wasn’t utilised particularly well as a LW, as he wasn’t able to cut inside onto his preferred left foot.
Still, Kudus managed 8 goals and 9 assists, which he can definitely replicate.
Wait and see how he settles under the new manager before deciding to invest.
Could play as a CAM, with Summerville playing on the left in his place.
Crysencio Summerville
Another new winger option for Lopetegui, who was signed from Leeds United this summer.
He’ll get a fair share of minutes as a LW, with Kudus possibly moving to CAM to play behind Füllkrug.
Not likely to be a better Fantasy choice than Bowen or Kudus.
Edson Álvarez (£5m) / Tomáš Souček (£5m)
Defensive-minded midfielders who will play alongside each other.
Souček could be a decent bench option as his threat from set pieces is well documented (7 goals last season).
Guido Rodríguez
New signing who joins West Ham as a free agent plays as a defensive midfielder.
Will offer much needed competition in the DM position.
